Our captive-bred Savannah Monitors are raised for health, strong feeding response, and long-term success. These are not wild-caught imports—no acclimation issues, no unknown history. These were bred over in French Guiana and captive hatched.
A portion of our work with this species supports our broader African species initiatives, focused on reducing reliance on imports through sustainable captive breeding and education, these animals will come to you like puppies.

Care Requirements (Important)
Savannah monitors are not beginner reptiles.
- Adult Size: 3–4+ ft snout to tail end
- Lifespan: 10–15+ years
- Enclosure: 6x3x2 ft minimum (larger preferred, grow tents are fantastic and allow for deep substrate beds and tons of accommodations.
- Basking Temps: 110~ on a stone ledge or pile - pillar our temps are generally around 100 , but can reach 110 on the stone and it helps hold heat through night
- Ambient: 70-80°F
- Diet: Primarily insect-based, occasional (CLEAN!) freshwater snails (we raise them). staple feeders are like superworms, dubia, and hornworms , repashy grub pie is fantastic also! Bottle flies and screen cages will lead to very healthy , climbing and inquisitive animals as well.
- Our substrate varies but is a mostly mix of cypress, spaghum, orchid bark, peat moss and reptilite calcium sand and coco chip , also with bark for feeding plates and some egg crate and hides to play on. We use overhead heat supplement and natural sunlight, UVB is required.
Proper care is essential for long-term health, our captive bred specimens thrive in these exact conditions here, with no issues.
