Our feeder rats are bred in-house with a focus on clean husbandry, proper nutrition, and consistent sizing. Rats are an essential staple for many medium to large reptiles, offering higher fat and calorie content compared to mice—making them ideal for growth and maintaining body condition.

Rat Size Guide (Approximate Weights)

• Rat Pinkies (3–8g)
  Newborn, hairless rats. Ideal for larger hatchlings or species that outgrow mouse pinkies quickly.

• Rat Fuzzies (8–15g)
  Lightly furred, early-stage development. Great for juveniles transitioning up in prey size.

• Rat Pups (15–30g)
  Fully furred but still young. A staple feeder for growing snakes needing more mass.

• Weaned Rats (30–60g)
  Recently independent, active feeders. Suitable for subadult reptiles.

• Small Rats (60–120g)
  A common feeder size for many adult snakes.

• Medium Rats (120–250g)
  Ideal for larger adult snakes requiring substantial meals.

• Large Rats (250g+)
  Fully grown rats for large-bodied snakes and heavy feeders.
